Software protection of the PGP data

We offer encrypting of files and E-mail with application of PGP for safety of data.
PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) – system of encrypting with key composed of two parts: open and secret key.
The open part of key has to be changed to use PGP.
Steps for installing and encrypting of data with application of PGP:

Installing of PGP

• Download PGP 7.03 [~ 8 Mb] from our server or server PGPI
• Unpack zip "pgp.zip" by means of "WinZip" program or other zip program.
• Install "PGP freeware 7.03.exe"
• Window with license provisions – button "NEXT"
• Install – button "NEXT"
• On question "do you have existing key-rings you wish to use" – upon first installing push on no – button "NEXT"
• Select PGP components – tick on:
  PGP Key Management
  PGP Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook
• Restart your computer. Upon restarting, you will see in the right bottom corner (next to clock) a gray key - "PGP tray" enabling quick access to the basic functions of PGP.

Generate your own key-pair

• Click on "PGP tray" and select from menu the item "PGP keys"
• "Generate new key-pair"
• Enter your name and password in English
• The program will generate a key pair, following that a push the button "NEXT". The window "PGP keys" will display the list of available keys including your own key.

Export of key

• To run correspondence with you, we need to exchange the keys. For this purpose, you have to:
• Install "PGP keys" and highlight your own key.
• Select from menu the item "Keys-Export" and save the key on disc in form of file with extension .asc
• Send to us the created fail as attachment to E-mail using the address book where we are recorded as (BBP-Net).

Import of key

• When you have received from us our file with key, you have to take the following steps:
• Save our key on disc.
• Install "PGP keys" and use the function "Keys-Import"

Work with PGP

Encrypting of E-mail

• Select the text and copy it (CTRL+C)
• Click on "PGP tray" and select from menu "Clipboard-Encrypt"
• All the keys available to program shall be offered to you – double click on BBP-Net / consult@bbp-net.com - click OK
• Open "Outlook (Express)" / New Mail and click on (Paste) or (CTRL+V)
• Send the letter to our {E-mail}
  

Encrypting of files (Encrypt)

• Select the file you want to encrypt, click the right mouse button and find on menu the item "PGP-Encrypt"
• Select our key - BBP-Net / consult@bbp-net.com
• The encrypted file shall appear in the same folder with the key symbol.
• Open "Outlook (Express)" and send to us an E-mail with attachment – your encrypted file.

Decrypting (Decrypt)

• When you have received our E-mail copy the required fragment (CTRL+C)
• Click on the key "PGP tray" and select the menu item "Clipboard-Decrypt & Verify"
• Enter your password
• The Text Viewer shall be displayed
• You can save the read text – to do that, select the text using mouse and copy it to Clipboard or push (CTRL+C), then insert text editor "Paste" or (CTRL+V) and save on disc
