BVI expect economic growth 23/03/10

The government of BVI expects stable economic development, considering growth of companies’ payments and registration of new vessels in the marine register. The annual tax from the companies has brought to the government more than 162,66 million dollars in 2009. For comparison, in 2008 receipts have constituted 156,15 million dollars. At the same time a significant replenishment of the marine register is marked on the BVI. For the first two months of 2010 there have been registered 56 vessels – for 15 more than for the similar period last year. The head of the government and the Minister of Finance of BVI has declared that with allowance of the begun restoration of world’s economic it is possible to give the optimistic forecast of islands’ economic development in the current year.
