Advantages of low-tax jurisdictions during the credit crunch 18/08/2009 | | In the new report the British Institute of Directors (the influential organisation, which consolidates 52,000 directors and chiefs of the companies - from the small enterprises and public organisations to corporate giants) criticised decisions of G20 - namely, cooperation strengthening between the countries with high taxes. "Any country has right to establish very low rates of taxes though other countries have equally the right to establish in reply to it the laws interfering minimisation of tax payments for the residents," is told in the report. Further in the report it is proved that low-tax jurisdiction can play a positive role in the economics, "allowing creation of special structures for dividend distribution between joint investors, at all without mentioning the general tax obligations." | | |
